The Procedure
1. Send us a demo of your music (CD or tape is preferred, but send platter if that is all you have)  Your package should contain pertinent information about your band - contact name/number, where you have played, and whatever else you think we should know.

2. Mail your package to:

3. You can also drop off your package at the bar during the hours of 3pm - 2am.

4. Give us two to three weeks to listen to it.  We get up to fifty CDs/tapes a week, and we do listen to them all, but it takes time. When calling to check on your submission, please remember to be patient. We try to get to everyone, but we get tons of demos, and even more phone calls.

Load-in is at 5:30pm, with sound check beginning in descending bill order promptly at 6:00pm. Please remember that it is always a good idea to call a week or two before the show date to check on set times and final details.

Attention-Tos:
Ticket giveaways are NOT to be negotiated separately with promoters in conjunction with shows at The Empty Bottle. For that, contact us at emptybottle@emptybottle.com and see what can be worked out.
  
   


 

Chicago is an immense city with numerous media outlets, and a thriving independent/ underground rock fan base. There are plenty of opportunities to garner airplay or press coverage of your music to promote your show.
